This course is designed for students with a basic understanding of hand building, who want to refine their skills and explore new techniques. You’ll delve into intermediate hand building methods, including working with paper templates, creating irregular shapes and adding lids and feet. Additionally, you’ll learn a variety of surface techniques to elevate your work. The course includes four sessions dedicated to hand building instruction, followed by two sessions focused on surface  techniques and glaze application, providing you with valuable finishing tips and tricks to enhance your creations
Colleen Routley is a Cranbrook-based potter with a rich artistic background spanning multiple mediums. Initially focusing on painting, she has dedicated the past 25 years to pottery, where she finds joy in the experimental nature and delightful surprises of glazes. Colleen is particularly passionate about creating large and unusual pottery pieces. For the past 25 years, she has also been committed to sharing her expertise by teaching others.
