Join Catherine and Jack Moes on this Mixed Media journey. Create playing card collages for yourself and enjoy the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative art project! Using multiple layers of medium and encaustic wax, you will collage a deck of whimsical, embellished playing cards for display or sharing. You may also choose to work in harmony with other participants to contribute to a collective work of art intended for this summer’s Cranbrook Arts “Mix Tape” Exhibition. All supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring along your personal paper ephemera, found items and embellishments that would fit onto 2.5” x 3.5” playing cards. Be prepared to learn a medley of collaging techniques and to have a lot of creative fun!
