About the Event
Saturday February 21
6:00-9:00 PM
Join Rico for a calm and creative three-hour workshop focused on one-line drawing with winter as the muse. You’ll learn how she builds simple, continuous lines into expressive seasonal illustrations, then use winter motifs such as ice skates, ornaments, and other props as inspiration for your own piece. Once your line work is down, you’ll add gentle watercolor layers to give it warmth and depth. It’s a relaxed, beginner-friendly class. No prior drawing or painting experience required.
Rico was born in Japan in 1980. She attended Musashino Art University in Tokyo obtaining a BA in Visual Communication Design in 2006. Later she attended Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam and received a BA in Fine Arts. She moved to Canada in 2012.
