Join Anne Aitken Anderson, Melanie MacVoy, and Janet Moore for a two-part workshop designed for artists who have painting experience and supplies and want to explore working outdoors. The first session will be at Cranbrook Arts and will cover how to prepare for Plein Air painting, including what to pack, how to set up comfortably outside, and tips for approaching composition in an open landscape. The second session, you will paint on location at either Eager Hill or Wycliffe Buttes (location will be confirmed and discussed during the first workshop session) with demonstrations and individualized guidance throughout the day, focusing on subject selection, local colour, and atmosphere.
