Join Tara Mercer for a two-day class where you’ll create and start using your own handmade sketchbook. On Day 1, you’ll focus on building the book. You’ll choose your cover paper, learn how to fold and assemble signatures (the inside pages), and bind everything together into a finished sketchbook. On Day 2, you’ll start filling the pages. You’ll experiment with watercolour, graphite, and simple doodling exercises to get comfortable working in your new book and exploring your own mark making style. This class is great for beginners or anyone wanting a handmade place to collect sketches, notes, and ideas. No experience necessary.
Tara is a bead maker turned mixed media artist turned calligrapher and hand letterer. Tara loves learning and sharing art with everyone.
