About the Event
Summer Camps with Cranbrook Arts
Cranbrook Arts Council is offering week-long camps during the months of July and August. Camps will run for a total of eight weeks.
Camps will run from 9am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. Early drop-off and late pick up can be arranged for an extra fee.
$150 per week.
Ages 6 to 12 years.
Week one will focus on the theme of 'the great outdoors', using elements of nature to create crafts. Kids will spend time outside in nature each day.
On Tuesday, kids will also participate in a clay class in our pottery studio during the afternoon.
There will be a maximum of 12 students per instructor (three instructors total), providing a rich and valuable experience with one-on-one time and manageable instructor to child ratios.
Each instructor will be responsible for a specific age group, and lessons will be catered to that specific group each week.
Camps will be held at 1401 Art Space, Cranbrook Arts’ newest location. With a pottery studio, workshop space, professional gallery, kitchen and printmaking studio, there are endless possibilities for fun and stimulating learning experiences.
Please be sure to carefully fill out the registration form, as we require this information in case of emergency.
All instructors have a police record check and are qualified. This programming was made possible through the Canada Summer Jobs program.
COVID-19 protocols are in place. 1401 Art Space has plenty of room to spread out, and there are multiple sinks for hand washing. Our staff has put together a comprehensive COVID-19 safety plan, which is available to view on the bulletin board at 1401.
