Summer Camp - Week Six, The Art of Movement

Summer Camps with Cranbrook Arts

Cranbrook Arts Council is offering week-long camps during the months of July and August. Camps will run for a total of eight weeks.

Camps will run from 9am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. Early drop-off and late pick up can be arranged for an extra fee.

$150 per week.

Ages 6 to 12 years.

Week six will focus on the theme of 'The Art of Movement'. Students will participate in movement classes, yoga classes and do some fun dancing. They will also complete art projects such as paintings and drawings that focus on movement (drawing figures, motion, etc.)

There will be outdoor time every day, with instructors taking advantage of local parks during lunch hour.

Camps will be held at 1401 Art Space, Cranbrook Arts’ newest location. With a pottery studio, workshop space, professional gallery, kitchen and printmaking studio, there are endless possibilities for fun and stimulating learning experiences.

All instructors have a police record check and are qualified. This programming was made possible through the Canada Summer Jobs program.

COVID-19 protocols are in place. 1401 Art Space has plenty of room to spread out, and there are multiple sinks for hand washing. Our staff has put together a comprehensive COVID-19 safety plan, which is available to view on the bulletin board at 1401.
