Multicolour block-printing is a fun way to add depth and richness to your prints. Over this weekend workshop, Saturday will cover digging into the nuts and bolts of multi-colour block printing where you will learn how to transfer your designs cleanly, carve with intention, and align your blocks so your colours land exactly where you want them. Then we’ll tackle a simple step-by-step reduction print. On Sunday, we’ll move farther into the world of reduction printing with a larger, more complex print. This process is a satisfying technique where one block is carved in stages to reveal each new layer of colour and detail. Watch your print evolve throughout of day.
