Join us for a weekend introduction to pottery on the wheel, perfect for beginners eager to explore clay. Over the course of the weekend, you will dive into the foundational form that are essential to wheel throwing, including how to center and shape your clay into various vessels. The class will cover important techniques such as trimming, where you will refine the shapes of your pieces, and decorations, where you can add your creative touches. The final session will cover glazing. By the end of the workshop, students can expect to take come 1-4 unique pieces.


Hail is a Kootenay-born artist creating functional and whimsical pottery in Cranbrook, BC. She has been a potter for the past 7 years and graduated from the Kootenay School of Arts for ceramics in 2019.
